For the popular children’s book series Petronella Apfelmus, we produced a colorful and cheerful book trailer for Bastei Lübbe Verlag.

Based on a storyboard provided by the publisher and using the original illustrations, we brought Petronella and her friends to life through lovingly crafted animations and sound design. The 30-second trailer was produced in three different formats for use on social media and is aimed at parents with children aged 4 to 9.

With lively movement, magical sparkle, and rich visual details, the enchanting world of the apple witch is captured with warmth and charm. The result is a playful glimpse into a children’s book universe full of adventure and small magical moments.

For Katabasis by bestselling author Rebekka Kuang, we created an atmospheric book trailer for Eichborn Verlag.

The trailer combines faux 3D camera movements with custom-designed vector illustrations, visually blending the academic world of Cambridge with the mythological realm of the underworld. Animated characters move through dust, fire, and monumental halls of Hades, creating a dense visual narrative in which magic, danger, and rivalry become tangible.

Using the graphic elements of the book, we combined dynamic camera movements, dramatic music, and animated character introductions to capture the dense and powerful atmosphere of the novel. The result is a visually striking trailer that brings the themes of language, power, and colonialism to life for a new German-speaking audience.

Love Wanted: An animated book trailer styled like a video game

For the novel Love Wanted by Jesse Q. Sutanto, we developed an animated social media book trailer with a playful video game aesthetic.

Inspired by character selection menus from classic fighting games, the protagonist’s various relatives are presented as playable characters, complete with strengths, weaknesses, and special abilities. This approach translates the novel’s eccentric family dynamics and dark humor into a tongue-in-cheek visual concept.

The result is an entertaining and attention-grabbing social media trailer that concisely conveys the story, tone, and characters of the book in a highly recognizable and playful way.
