Kikki in action: Mascot illustrations for IKK BB

A series of mascot illustrations was created for the Brandenburg and Berlin health insurance fund IKK BB, featuring their energetic fox character Kikki.

The brief called for a friendly, character-driven visual style inspired by classic animation aesthetics, while strictly adhering to the corporate colors of IKK BB. The mascot was designed as a scalable vector illustration, allowing for flexible use across the company’s website as well as large-format print and digital advertising.

Based on the illustrated character, the advertising agency also commissioned a life-size costume for outdoor events and promotional appearances.

A series of vivid illustrations was created for training purposes within Brandenburg’s tourism sector and for use on the official tourism website reiseland-brandenburg.de.

The goal was to visually define different types of travelers in a way that makes their key characteristics recognizable at a glance. Attributes such as age group, preferred leisure activities, and favored types of accommodation are clearly reflected, resulting in memorable and easily distinguishable travel profiles.

Infographics and displays for the KNX trade fair presentation

For the KNX booth at ISE 2020, we designed and prepared print templates and illustrated a range of infographics and guidance systems for trade fair displays.

In addition to classic print materials, we also developed animated content for digital displays used on site. The visual system supported clear orientation, structured information delivery, and consistent brand communication across both print and digital out-of-home formats.

A jam-packed cover illustration for the Super Holiday Pass

Jugendkulturservice Berlin commissioned the creation of a cover illustration for the Super Holiday Pass. In close collaboration with the client, a wide range of summer activities and ideas was collected and translated into an initial sketch.

The result is a lively hidden-object illustration filled with playful details that invite exploration and spark anticipation for the holidays. The illustration was used as the central visual for the pass itself as well as for posters and flyers accompanying the campaign.

Language makes visible: Explainer video on gender-sensitive writing

On behalf of the BASA-online university network, we developed an explainer video that offers students an accessible introduction to gender-sensitive writing.

Building on the idea that “you cannot not use gendered language,” the film explains different writing approaches, makes their relevance for inclusion and visibility tangible, and shows why the discussion reaches far beyond questions of orthography. Using a clear and lightly humorous narrative, complex academic perspectives are translated into an understandable visual format. The video supports a reflective and conscious approach to language in academic studies and beyond.

Animated infographics for freight transport: CargoBeamer

On behalf of Workingfilms, we developed animated infographics for an image film for the logistics service provider CargoBeamer. The result was around 60 seconds of motion graphics, which were integrated into drone footage.
Key figures, facts, and core messages were visually embedded to clearly communicate the advantages of the CargoBeamer system, such as CO₂ savings and logistical efficiency. The combination of live action footage and motion graphics creates a fresh visual narrative with a clear focus on content and style.il.

Why do we need to protect our waterways, and how can they return to a near-natural state? These questions are at the heart of the explainer video Mit Märkisch Blau zu neuen Ufern, which illustrates the implementation of the European Water Framework Directive in Brandenburg.

Through detailed and colorful illustrations, cohesive sound design and voice recordings, as well as simple yet effective animations, we clearly visualized both the challenges and solutions involved in the renaturation of waterways. The video shows how targeted measures, such as restoring natural river courses, not only enhance biodiversity but also improve the quality of life for people in Brandenburg.

Is it possible to create a residential concept that is both environmentally and economically sustainable? Our explainer video provides the answer with the solar townhouse developed by TBI GmbH.

The hand-drawn explainer video illustrates the benefits of sustainable living in the Regensburg region. Script, storyboard, illustration, animation, voice-over, as well as composition and sound effects were created in collaboration with our explainer video network.

Travel sketches from Asia

hese pencil drawings were created while traveling, drawn directly on location, often during quiet moments along the way. They depict temples, colonial buildings, and landscapes as I encountered them on journeys through different regions of Asia.

The sketches are momentary impressions, a personal way of capturing experiences and tracing the atmosphere of a place by hand.

Music connects: Vibes of Kenya

“Ngoma ni muungano”. Music connects. This Swahili proverb symbolically framed the project, which was realized together with the Goldmines Foundation and the executing agency.

The goal was to give visibility to young talents from Kibera in Nairobi and to support the development of a local recording studio. I was responsible for the visual implementation, including art direction, illustrations, and animations for the website and campaign. The music created the framework, the design created the stage.

Design of an infographic for the cover of the building technology trade magazine BusSysteme 1/2014. The issue presents interfaces and technologies that enable people with disabilities to live independently.

The goal of the cover illustration was to visually combine as many of these technologies as possible within a single, coherent scene.

Captain Octopus: An underwater skill game

Captain Octopus is a colorful skill-based game that challenges players with fast reactions and smart tactical decisions. Set in an underwater world, the game centers around a lively treasure hunt filled with dynamic obstacles.

My role within the team focused on the illustration and animation of the game, as well as the conceptual development of the music and sound effects.

Illustrations for the exhibition “The Wild Side of Aargau” at Naturama

For the exhibition curated by SolitaireDesign at Naturama, illustrative insights into the floodplain landscapes of the canton of Aargau were created. A large-scale, detailed wall illustration depicts the plant diversity of this habitat and provides an atmospheric backdrop for sculptural animal models.

The setting is complemented by playful animal line drawings that can be recombined using a flip-style mechanism, inviting visitors to explore and discover creatively.
